Since the beginning of the Boker manufacturing plant in 1869, high quality straight razors were produced in Solingen, Germany. At that time, we were already focused on the usage of nothing less than the best in materials, and it was of the utmost importance to maintain the highest production standards available. With that background, the success came quickly, giving Boker straight razors an impeccable international reputation. After World War II, the manufacturing of straight razors gradually came to a stop. More than 100 years later, a new lineup is being manufactured in Solingen, reviving the old tradition. Through 170 individual production steps, the new and exclusive Boker straight razors are created. A guarantor for the highest quality is the successful "finger nail test". Only the edge of a perfectly ground blade can be visibly bent on your thumbnail and returns immediately to its original shape when released. Cheap blades are too thick to do this, and for that reason they are refered to as "axes" by the experts.

It was high time for Boker to present a new fixed blade Damascus knife. Dietmar Pohl thought of the pure collector, but also of the user of such a knife in the field. That is why we chose stainless Damascus with 180 layers. Our Swedish supplier called this particular knife pattern "Odin's Eye". According to the Nordic legend, nothing can be hidden before the eye of Odin. Solid nickel silver cross guard and pommel guarantee a very solid construction. The blade is fastened by a screw at the end cap. Handle is Ziracote wood from Belize - a firmly structured, water-repellent wood. Includes solid wooden gift box and certificate of authenticity. This is a new Boker Damascus 2005 Pocket knife. This hunter style lock blade Damascus features real luxurious Mother of Pearl handles. The 3 1/8" blade is made of hand forged 300-layer Damascus steel. Overall length of 7". Includes wood presentation box and certificate of authenticity.
A truly rare and unique piece of work and a must for your collection, blending the centuries-old art of hand forged Damascus with a piece of history. The Leo Damascus, a high performance Damascus steel, was made available to Boker through a noted European Damascus forger, Markus Balbach. The steel used in this knife is forged out of the barrel of the German battle tank Leopard I, thus Leo Damascus. This speciality steel is not available to the market and there is no material number even assigned to it because it was only used by the military. Herr Balbach was fortunate to acquire some for the exclusive use of Boker. A chromium-manganese and vanadium tool steel alloy was added to this extremely wear-resistant barrel steel. The result is a remarkably high hardness for Damascus steel (63-65 HRC). A very high performance Damascus. The pattern provided on the blade is labeled "small pyramid", providing a spectacular work of art; and as with all true Damascus, every blade is different. Handle material is hard coated 6061-T6 aluminium and features exotic desert ironwoods inlays. Liner locking. Includes certificate of authenticity and gift box. Serialized. Overall length: 7 3/8". This knife is based on our existing model E.F.D. and was modified in a project of true professionals (Escrima Folding Dagger). Each one is a master of his special trade. Boker teamed with Prof. Bill Newman of Latosa Escrima, noted European Defensive Tactics instructors Frank B. Metzger and Joachim Friedrich, and Boker designer Dietmar Pohl. The result was a Tactical Folder designed to be applicable to both the Filipino Martial Arts as well as Defensive Tactics requirements. Modifications to the knife include improved grip texturing and a pommel more suited to Punyo applications. The knife also works well as a closed impact weapon, due to the ergonomics and the fact that the blade fully nests in the handles. The handle is perfectly machined of lightweight but tough 6061-T6 aluminum. The integrated liner locks the corrosion resistant dagger style blade of 440-C steel securely in the open position. The clip holds the knife in the tip down carrying method always in place until needed. A valuable companion for every day carry. This knife will never let you down.
