Damascus steel, also called "Damast" in German, is the art of welding together two very different types of steel in such a way that the finished blade eventually shows a Damascus structure throughout. The renowned German Damascus forger, Manfred Sachse, has produced blades exclusively for BOKER for two decades. His unique knowledge shows in every blade which is hot-welded and hand-forged into 300 layer Damascus steel. No two blades are exactly alike - each one has its own unique character.

Designed in 1943, the M3 Trench Knife was intended to be used by any U.S. soldier during World War II who was not equipped with a bayonet - soldiers with pistols, submachine guns, light and heavy machine guns, etc. The first troops to receive the M3's were the Airborne, Mountain Ranger and Glider infantry units. Among the nine manufacturers who produced the M3 during wartime was H. Boker & Co., with a total of 31,300 pieces, which was the smallest quantity. For the 65th anniversary, Boker Plus is reintroducing this classic piece of combat cutlery, along with a reproduction metal U.S. M8A1 scabbard. The black coated blade is made of high carbon SK-5 steel and features the original H. Boker & Co. blade tang. The handle is made of stacked leather pieces. Especially for Boker, Norwegian divers have retrieved parts of the special armor of the Tirpitz, from the Fjord. These pieces of living history are being exclusively forged by our Damascus forger to an extraordinary Damascus steel with an exciting background. The pattern "Great Pyramids," with more than 300 layers, adorns the mighty 4 in. blade, and makes this piece the highlight of any collection. The combination of the Tirpitz steel and carbon tool steels also creates an extremely rugged Damascus steel, which has a hardness of 61 HRC, and can handle any cutting task with ease. The handle, made of high strength AlMgSi1 aluminum (with Silicium, making it a much higher quality than standard AlMg3), is hardcoat anodized and provides a firm and secure grip. The reversible clip allows for tip-up or tip-down carry. For the handle inlay we chose domestic walnut, which has a long history as shaft wood for German rifles due to its superior characteristics. Following the tradition of the European Damascus sword smithing art of the Middle Ages, the Boker manufacturing plant in Solingen, Germany is proud to present the Swiss Dagger in an exclusive collectors edition. Four bands/strips of twisted Damascus, consisting of a nickel and manganese tool steel, are forged into a breathtaking blade featuring flawless symmetry and beauty, which requires a tedious smithing process. Each strip is made of a single Damascus packet, which is first forged by hand and then twisted 15 times. Four of these twisted packets are fire welded and then forged into this historical blade shape. The structure that is achieved with these different layers guarantees not only lengendary strength, it also creates a highly unique pattern, which defines "Twisted Damascus." Blades made of twisted Damascus represented the highest class of smithing art in the Middle Ages, and therefore was only available to the people of nobility. This historical and very complex forging process, which can be accomplished by very few Damascus forgers, is now in the hands of Andreas Henrichs, who is performing this great art perfectly and exclusively for Boker. The discreet glimmer of the black, hand selected ebony wood used for the handle builds a perfect unity with the high polished stainless steel handguard and pommel. The Leo Damascus, a high performance Damascus steel, was made available to Boker through a noted European Damascus forger, Markus Balbach. The steel used in this knife is forged out of the barrel of the German battle tank Leopard I, thus Leo Damascus. This speciality steel is not available to the market and there is no material number even assigned to it because it was only used by the military. Herr Balbach was fortunate to acquire some for the exclusive use of Boker. A chromium-manganese and vanadium tool steel alloy was added to this extremely wear-resistant barrel steel. The result is a remarkably high hardness for Damascus steel (63-65 HRC). A very high performance Damascus. The pattern provided on the blade is labeled "small pyramid", providing a spectacular work of art; and as with all true Damascus, every blade is different. black linen Micarta handle with an overall length is 9 1/2 in. 440A stainless steel.
The Kalashnikov design, contour and lines of this Dietmar Pohl design complement the style found in the original AK-47. The fines CNC machine work is incorporated into the anodized 6061-T6 aluminium handle with cocobolo inlays, designed for a firm and secure grip. The smooth 4" blade features a black PVD coating, reminiscent of the bayonet used with the AK-47, is made of 440C stainless steel. Includes belt/pocket clip. Overall open length: 9". Weight: 6 oz.

It was high time for Boker to present a new fixed blade Damascus knife. Dietmar Pohl thought of the pure collector, but also of the user of such a knife in the field. That is why we chose stainless Damascus with 180 layers. Our Swedish supplier called this particular knife pattern "Odin's Eye". According to the Nordic legend, nothing can be hidden before the eye of Odin. Solid nickel silver cross guard and pommel guarantee a very solid construction. The blade is fastened by a screw at the end cap. Handle is Ziracote wood from Belize - a firmly structured, water-repellent wood. Includes solid wooden gift box and certificate of authenticity. This is a new Boker Damascus 2005 Pocket knife. This hunter style lock blade Damascus features real luxurious Mother of Pearl handles. The 3 1/8" blade is made of hand forged 300-layer Damascus steel. Overall length of 7". Includes wood presentation box and certificate of authenticity.
A truly rare and unique piece of work and a must for your collection, blending the centuries-old art of hand forged Damascus with a piece of history. The Leo Damascus, a high performance Damascus steel, was made available to Boker through a noted European Damascus forger, Markus Balbach. The steel used in this knife is forged out of the barrel of the German battle tank Leopard I, thus Leo Damascus. This speciality steel is not available to the market and there is no material number even assigned to it because it was only used by the military. Herr Balbach was fortunate to acquire some for the exclusive use of Boker. A chromium-manganese and vanadium tool steel alloy was added to this extremely wear-resistant barrel steel. The result is a remarkably high hardness for Damascus steel (63-65 HRC). A very high performance Damascus. The pattern provided on the blade is labeled "small pyramid", providing a spectacular work of art; and as with all true Damascus, every blade is different. Handle material is hard coated 6061-T6 aluminium and features exotic desert ironwoods inlays. Liner locking. Includes certificate of authenticity and gift box. Serialized. Overall length: 7 3/8". Boker teamed with Prof. Bill Newman of Latosa Escrima, noted European Defensive Tactics instructors Frank B. Metzger and Joachim Friedrich, and Boker designer Dietmar Pohl. The result was a Tactical Folder designed to be applicable to both the Filipino Martial Arts as well as Defensive Tactics requirements. Modifications to the knife include improved grip texturing and a pommel more suited to Punyo applications. The knife also works well as a closed impact weapon, due to the ergonomics and the fact that the blade fully nests in the handles. The handle is perfectly machined of lightweight but tough 6061-T6 aluminum. The integrated liner locks the corrosion resistant dagger style blade of 440-C steel securely in the open position. The clip holds the knife in the tip down carrying method always in place until needed. A valuable companion for every day carry. This knife will never let you down.
